Island Charm and UNESCO Heritage
Sitting off Sweden’s south-east coast is the country’s largest island: Gotland. The island’s only town, Visby, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an ancient past, but Gotland is also a popular summer destination thanks to its 800km of coastline lined with beautiful beaches, surprisingly tropical azure waters and charming beachfront cafes. The landscape is as wild and dramatic as the climate is sunny and mild.
Both the Vikings Route and The Hansa have itinerary stops on Gotland, which can be easily reached from the Swedish mainland by ferry or air.
