Mikulov is an embodiment of picture-perfect. Seen from afar as you follow the highway connecting Brno and Vienna, this town has one of the most recognizable and picturesque looks in the Czech Republic. The city of the royal glory, it boasts an impressive Renaissance castle towering over the pretty old town with colorful merchant houses. Mikulov is also a city of wine, the wine trail starts here and continues for 65 kilometers. Having a well-preserved Jewish Quarter and a series of magnificent churches, this city would be a fascinating place for the history buffs and wine lovers, of course.
