Idyllic Island Life
Rosala is a tiny village on an island of the same name, close to the larger Kimito Island. The settlement is very small – to give some idea of its size, the entire island only has 140 permanent residents in total. White most of them live in Rosala village, some are split between other areas of the island too. The culture here is extremely outdoorsy, with deep forests and rocky shores offering plenty of opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in nature. But there are pretty red wooden houses too, and two major tourist attractions: the Rosala Viking Centre and Bengtskär Lighthouse.
The Viking Centre is an itinerary point on the Viking Cultural Route, the only cultural route that currently runs through Rosala.
