Šiauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania. The Jewish community had an important influence on the city, particularly through the Frenkelis family, that, in the early 20th century, established a successful leather factory. Nowadays, the Frenkelis Villa, Art Nouveau mansion of the family, can be visited and is an important cultural centre for the city.

More information on the different points of interest of the city have been developed by the Šiauliai “Aušros” Museum and can be explored here.
