Born in La Chaux-de-Fond, Switzerland, in 1887, Charles Edouard Jeanneret – later called Le Corbusier – was a Swiss-French architect, designer, writer, urban planner. During his carreer, the internationally renowned artist designed buildings in many European countries as well as Japan and North and South America.
